A demonstration of timeless Longines Elegance

1911   First tonneau-shaped watch from Longings. Its 18K yellow gold case houses a L9.35 hand-wound movement with a 18,000-vibrations per hour beat and 17 jewels. Its enamelled dial is enhanced with black painted Roman numerals.

1918   “Curvex”-style sterling silver wristwatch, featuring an enamelled dial with Breguet numerals and an inner classic double minute track. Hand-wound mechanical movement L11.62N with a 18,000-vibrations per hour beat and16 jewels. 

1925   The Longines Evidenza draws its inspiration from this tonneau-shaped design, dating from 1925. Its 0.800 silver case houses a L12.62 NZZ hand-wound mechanical movement with a 18,000-vibrations per hour beat and 17 jewels. Its enamelled dial bears period-style Arabic numerals and a classic double minute track, swept by blued-metal skeleton hands. The watch is fitted with a brown leather bracelet. 

1927   The tonneau case in 18K white gold of this vintage jewellery watch is enhanced with diamonds and sapphires and houses a L7.45 hand-wound movement. Its silvered dial sports Arabic numerals and a classic double minute track. The crown is embellished with a sapphire cabochon. The watch is fitted with a white leather strap. 

1928   18K white golden wristwatch with hand-engraved decorative elements. Inside is ticking a L8.28 hand-wound mechanical movement with a 18,000-vibrations per hour beat and 17 jewels. Its silvered dial is enhanced with black painted Arabic numerals, a classic double minute track and a subdial for the seconds at 6 o’clock. The watch is fitted with a brown leather bracelet. 

1941   This tonneau-shaped watch was once owned and worn by Humphrey Bogart. Its gilt case is inscribed with Bogart’s initials “H.B.” and houses a L25.17 hand-wound movement with a 18,000-vibrations per hour beat and 17 jewels. Its copper rose dial is enhanced with applied Arabic numerals in yellow gold and a subdial for the seconds at 6 o’clock. The watch is fitted with a gilt flexible metal bracelet. 

1996   This Longines “Heritage” watch in 18K pink gold houses a L615 self-winding mechanical movement with a 28,800-vibrations per hour beat and a power reserve of 42 hours. Its silvered stamped dial features black painted Roman numerals, a classic double minute track, a subdial for the seconds, as well as a date aperture at 6 o’clock. The watch is fitted with a brown leather strap. This watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (100 ft). 

1999   The tonneau-shaped case of this La Grande Classique de Longines watch in stainless steel houses a dependably accurate L209 quartz movement. Its scratch-resistant sapphire crystal shields a white dial, enhanced with black painted Roman numerals. The watch is fitted with a polished stainless steel bracelet with triple folding clasp. It is water-resistant to 30 m (100 feet). 

2003   The stainless steel case of this Longines Evidenza chronograph protects a self-winding mechanical movement L650 with a 28,800-vibrations per hour beat and 46 hours of power reserve. A scratch-resistant and non-reflecting crystal shields a black “flinqué” dial enhanced by white painted Roman numerals, a subdial for the seconds at 3 o’clock, a 12-hours totalizer at 6 o’clock, a 30-minutes totalizer at 9 o’clock and a date aperture at 6 o’clock. Stainless steel bracelet with triple folding clasp. This watch is water-resistant to 30 meters (100 feet).
